Multiple types of PDO Threads are available to choose from based on the desired treatment. These treatments require NO general anesthesia, IV sedation, or oral sedation. Similar to dermal fillers, topical numbing is used as well as local numbing for some procedures. Results are visible immediately after treatment and continue to improve over a few weeks. PDO Thread procedures are done in our Med Spa in under an hour with no downtime!
VISIBLE RESULTS
PDO THREADS can very effectively:
- Improve the quality of the skin.
- Redefine the contour of the face.
- Reduce roundness.
- Lift sagging skin in the cheeks, jowls, and neck.
- Enhance the volume of the lips.
- Stimulate collagen production.
What is PDO THREAD LIFT and how does it work?
The PDO threading procedure involves using various lengths of thin sterile needles to insert PDO dissolving threads underneath the surface of the skin. These threads are placed strategically into the dermis, where it acts as a frame for lifting and tightening loose and sagging skin. The material from which these threads are made, Polydioxanone, is a safe substance that keeps the skin in its new tightened state for 4-6months, whilst also synthesizing new collagen production. The lasting result will provide the skin with a fresh, well rested and firmer look whilse supporting new collagen formation for long lasting results.
This treatment can be used on the face, but also in various areas of the body where the main objective is creating a lift, rather than restoring volume.
What are the benefits of embedded threading procedures?
- A reduction in appearance of fine lines & wrinkles
- Younger looking skin, with fewer signs of aging due to tightening of loose/lax skin
- Improve skin tone, texture, pigmentation, scarring and stretch mark appearance
- Long lasting results, due to new collagen synthesis
- No scars or visible cuts (as can be the result of a traditional facelift)
- Can be performed from the age of 30, or earlier for anti-aging benefits
- Increased skin metabolism
- Optimization of texture
- Activation of the lymphatic circulation
- Increased circulation in surrounding areas
- Long lasting stimulation of the fascia and of the soft tissues
- Creation of collagen
- Normalization of collagen
- Remodeling of the silhouette
- Tissue elasticity and lifting
- Delayed cutaneous aging
- Skin brightness
TYPES OF PDO THREADS:
1.) PDO Smooth Thread
Full Face & Body
VIOLA PDO SMOOTH threads are a non-invasive treatment for promoting natural collagen production from the body for long-lasting results. PDO smooth threads are to be placed into the subcutaneous fat layer of the skin to promote the production of collagenous connective tissues around the inserted threads.
Treatment areas for the PDO Smooth threads include Tear Troughs, Crows’s Feet, Nasolabial Folds, Jawline, Infraorbital Wrinkles, Smoke Lines, and Cheeks.
PDO (Polydioxanone) threads generally last about six months for its full biodegradation after insertion and its presence stimulates collagen production during that period. The result from this collagen stimulation may last up to 12-24 months.
2.) PDO TWIST
Full Face & Body
VIOLA TWIST is a PDO smooth thread coiled around a needle for extra collagen stimulation boost following each thread insertion. This will effectively increase the threads’ contact area with a subcutaneous fat layer by adding more fibrous connective tissues to develop.
The PDO Twist threads are recommended for lines and for areas requiring volume. Typical treatments with these threads include Nasolabial Folds, Glabellar Lines referred to as the “ eleven” lines, Marionette Lines, and Lip enhancements for shaping, adding volume, and sculpting the ever so desired lower lip “pout”.
PDO (Polydioxanone) threads generally last about six months for its full biodegradation after insertion and its presence stimulates collagen production during that period. The result from this collagen stimulation may last up to 12-24 months.
3.) PDO MULTI
Full Face & Body
VIOLA PDO MULTI has six separate PDO threads attached to a single 23G50mm needle. This is to maximize the skin volumizing effect by placing multiple PDO smooth threads with a single insertion. While six smooth threads closely attached give a wider area of fibrous connective tissues to develop, threads take a longer time for its biodegrading when they are tightly attached.
- Strongly suggested for Forehead & Temple Augmentation, and Nasolabial folds.
- Can be used along with VIOLA Smooth, and use this MULTI thread on areas where it needs extra volume.
4.) PDO MESH
Nasolabial Folds & Deep Lines
VIOLA PDO MESH is multiple PDO threads braided as a mesh structure. This braid of smooth threads drastically increases the thread structure’s contact area after insertion to maximize the stimulation of collagen production and volumizing effect.
- Suggested for Nasolabial Folds, Forehead Augmentation, and Temple Augmentation.
5.) COBRA COGLYFT
Full Face & Body
VIOLA COBRA COGLYFT uses a blunt cannula to carefully insert an absorbable barbed thread to a deep, subcutaneous layer of skin. Cobra Cogs are another barbed PDO thread used by the Viola Coglyft. The Cobra Cog is a dual-layer cutting method of PDO suture that ensures a stronger anchoring effect of the skin than the regular slice cutting barbed threads.
The regular folding type Coglyft threads contain a sponge on the cannula, holding the smooth end of the barbed thread. The thread inside the cannula is placed underneath the skin as the cannula is inserted.
6.) PDO NOSELYFT
Nose
VIOLA NOSELYFT uses a specially designed blunt cannula rather than a needle to safely penetrate into the nose structure for natural looking results.
Various types of threads are available to choose from based on treatment goals. The most common uses include raising the tip of the nose and adding volume to areas of the nose.
7.) DOUBLELYFT BLUNT
Full Face & Body
VIOLA DOUBLELYFT BLUNT is a bidirectional cog thread composed of two separate needles attached to two opposite ends of the thread. Our Viola Doublelyft provides practitioners a more creative approach over traditional thread lifting techniques where regular barbed threads are used.
Treatment areas include the Forehead, Double Chin, and Neck.
8.) DOUBLELYFT FLAT MESH
Chin & Neck
VIOLA DOUBLELYFT FLAT MESH is two separate blunt-tip needles attached to a thread with molded-cogs and mesh-structured smooth threads. This thread is specially designed for double chins and neck enhancement, with different pulling mechanisms using mesh and molded cogs.
Who is a good candidate for VIOLA PDO?
VIOLA PDO procedures are safe for adults who keep up with healthy lifestyles and have maintained their weight for at least three months.
How does VIOLA PDO procedure works?
VIOLA PDO thread is a minimally invasive procedure that does not require general anesthesia nor incisions. It is introduced into the deeper layers of the skin, and the helically molded barbs on the VIOLA PDO anchors onto the sagging tissue, and the thread is lifted upwards to achieve an instant, rejuvenating & contouring effect.
What is the recovery time for the VIOLA procedure?
After the procedure, patients may immediately return to daily lives, but they should consult with their physicians before resuming exercise and other intense activities.
Are there any risks or side effects associated with VIOLA?
Although minimal, side effects may include but are not limited to bruising, mild discomfort, dimpling, and swelling.
How long do the results last?
Patients will see immediate results after the procedure that can last up to 2 years. Despite being relatively new to the US market, VIOLA has a stronger lifting power and better specification designs in comparison to other PDO threads. By restoring the patient’s lost youth with a sharper jawline and V-line, VIOLA procedures address signs of aging caused by gravity, such as sagging skin.
